Senator Bill Dodd’s 21st Annual Holiday Fundraiser Benefitting If Given a Chance

State Sen. Bill Dodd hosted his 21st annual holiday party Friday, Dec.4 2020, to support If Given A Chance (IGAC), an organization that for 25 years has assisted Napa County high school students, who have shown grit and determination through profound traumatic challenges, continue their education. “My hope for this year’s annual charity fundraiser is to bring the community together during these difficult times to support our Napa County high school students in need, showing the resilient spirit of Napa County,” Dodd said. “I am proud to support the important work If Given A Chance does every day. They help our most vulnerable students navigate and succeed throughout their post-secondary education.”

The event will include a performance by singer Kellie Fuller and pianist Mike Greensill and announcement of the winners of the IGAC essay contest in which high school students write about how they would contribute to the community “if given a chance.”

About If Given A Chance

If Given A Chance identifies Napa County high school students who have overcome extraordinary challenges and who have demonstrated a commitment to continuing their education and helps them succeed on their positive path. IGAC helps students regain their sense of self-worth, emotional balance, and independent living skills through mentoring, life-skills training, and financial assistance.
