A Pathway of Success

If Given a Chance is not a program to assist young people in turning their lives around. There are other amazing programs which exist to carry on that vital work. Our mission is to be a pathway of success for those young people who have overcome obstacles by changing the decisions they make and actions they take. We offer the doorway to college or training which will assist them in completing their journey.  We support them in breaking cycles of abuse, overcoming addiction, and leaving gangs.  Fear and violence are replaced with hope and success.

In this time of economic challenges, like many nonprofit organizations, If Given a Chance is struggling to fulfill our mission.Many, including the President of the United States, have said that the most important way to insure a successful future for our children is through education.  Help us provide this opportunity to these deserving young people. They are our future. They are our inspiration. They are our hope.

If Given A Chance and the Napa community present “Chance Encounter…with Tom Amato and Leslie Medine”

October 19th, 2008 proved to be sunny and crisp as the day progressed and the community turned out to honor two special people who serve our youth and community in fantastic ways.  Tom Amato and Leslie Medine  were honored as the 2008 Chance Encounter honorees by an audience who filled the lawn and showed their appreciation for these special people.
