Better Chance Funds

These funds support the students beyond tuition and books. Under certain circumstances, depending on funding, the students may receive a computer, assistance with various living expenses or transportation assistance.

This fund falls under the responsibility of the Scholar Alumni Liaison, Support and Service Committee. The committee will receive referrals from the Executive Director. The committee may approve request up to and including $500. Request may be submitted by e-mail and may be voted on by e-mail if there is an immediate need or the committee will not be meeting before the request needs to be fulfilled. All requests above $500 will be presented to the board either at its regular meeting or by e-mail following the same process as e-mail referral and vote for the Scholar Alumni Liaison, Support and Service Committee.
